Love dies

We attach ourselves to love

And when it goes we feel the heartbreak,

We don’t see that loves not gone

That we were let down by the person we loved,

We were not let down by love

We fail to see the ability to learn and grow from it,

And find love in others that is maybe stronger, deeper, different,

We focus on ourselves and revel in the victim mindset

Why was I not good enough?

What’s so wrong with me?

Truth is the answer to both questions is it’s not you,

It was about them who let you down

You need to know you can be the same person,

That attracted their love in the first place,

However if we become sad and bitter

And allow the experience to turn us into s different person,

We can become less attractive than before

Because you will be showing off your scars like a medal,

Or like an open wound to others you meet

Though they may not want to see them,

They want to see your love, light and beauty

So embrace the change, the opportunity to find new love,

When an old love dies.
