I set sail in my boat
Into the darkness,
Lanterns hanging
Shining some light,
The darkness is eternal
In the place that I sail tonight,
The sea I sail
At the moment is calm,
But I am expecting
Rough times ahead,
On this voyage of discovery
Where words are left unsaid,
As I sail into the veil of the dead,
And I will listen out for voices
Whispers of souls,
Who will help guide me
But knowing there are some,
That will whisper
Trying to damn me,
I’ll hold firm
As I hear the sirens sing
So as not to run a ground,
I sail off into the darkness
Not knowing what it will bring,
And my lanterns will shine their light
Throughout the eternal night,
As I sail it’s a beautiful sight
Despite the fact my voyage
Is a journey and a plight,
That will be undertaken
While all is very quiet,
So that I can hear the voices
And the whispers,
That I hope will see me safely through tonight.
