How times change
Spent my teenage years,
Following football
All across Europe,
And attending anarcho punk concerts,
Marching with CND standing for up for animal rights,
Crying animal liberation please,
I drank too much and fought too much
A misspent youth but I didn’t give a fuck,
But now I am older I see them as reckless days
But I am still an anarcho punk and that won’t change,
I still stand up for animal rights
Still stand against Nazi’s and the white supremacist right,
The only difference now I no longer fight
I found a better way than that aimless plight,
I choose to focus on love, peace and light
I stand up now for the climate crisis plight,
I stand against those who divide rather than unite
Basically I stand for all that’s right,
I no longer drink and I read a lot
Laugh at Twitter trolls who have lost the plot,
Who tend to spread negativity and toxicity non stop,
I feel really sad for them lot
And show them even more love,
Because they need it more
I see how it can easily destroy,
The goodness that they may have inside
Turned this way by hateful lies,
No matter your nationality, colour belief or political side
Always conduct yourself with dignity and pride,
And show your compassion not been fried,
And be awake and glide on conscious wings
And fly free and high above the swamp of self despite,
And display your intellectual ways
By casting hateful words and acts away,
And be the better person in everyway
And fight for equality and tolerance today,
And we can bring about a global change,
By being balanced and letting extreme factions
Who try to side us just fade away into grey,
Because promoting love, peace and light is I have found
The path to finding and living better days.
