Life gets no easier

So people struggle,

And each of us

We have our own issues,

We’re all trying hard

Just to get by each day,

To put food on tables

And pay the bills,

And to find some time

To relax and take it easier,

It is do hard to be a believer,

That life is a wonderful thing

And it’s called into doubt,

By images of suffering

That we observe on our TV screens,

When you hear people cry

And young children scream,

It seems a nightmare

Rather than a dream,

But just hold on

And keep believing,

And maintain the faith

That despite man’s affliction,

There’s goodness and kindness

Within the majority

Of our human race,

It’s just that we aren’t heard or seen as much

And that’s the greatest shame.
