Do we fear the self?

Do we fear whats inside?

Scared to uncover the true you

After all that you struggled through

To create a person you believe acceptable.

Yet if this not the real you

If you are not authentic

Do you think it will be alright?

Or do you find it hard just yo maintain?

When the cracks begin to appear

And the facade starts to crumble

Will you know your true self

In times of personal struggle,

Because this is the reason people fall apart

Tried become something they were not at the start

Separated by the mind, soul and heart

You need to be all these things

You have to know yourself 

You must not fear whats within

You must love your authentic self

And be what you are

Not what others may want you to be

Not how you think society perceives.

Learn to love yourself

Learn to find out who you are

On a voyage of discovery you will travel far

But it will be worth it, in the end

For knowing yourself, 

Is better than anything 

And it takes no effort

And you won’t fall to pieces

For you have love for yourself.
