Somethings in the way
Descrimination and hate.
Somethings in the way
Is it how we’re raised.
Somethings in the way
We aren’t born that way.
We are taught from very young
The difference between us.
Taught the colour of our skin
Is some how all defining.
We’re not encouraged to love
The beautiful differences, so it divides us.
The culture and our languages
Is a uniqueness that’s inside us and we should love
And learn to bond as adults as we did as kids.
But somethings in the way
Ignorance and conditioning
Somethings in the way
They stole our childhood trust away
Somethings in the way
Our innocence that judges nothing.
No matter what your colour
Or the language that you speak
No matter where you come from
Your a brother and sister to me
No matter what they try to teach
The xenophobia won’t apply to me
Because not so deep inside
I know you and me are family.
Somethings in the way
And I am gonna put an end to it
Something in the way
Because I know I am in control of it
Somethings in the way
But my love will be exploding it
Somethings in the way
And I gonna raise above it.
No matter what your colour class or creed I will be be right here with open arms of love peace and harmony for you my family because we are one and they can’t take that away because we’re free.
