To really find the true inner self you have to be brave enough to lose yourself first. Dispose of all your preconceived views on yourself and life and open up to a whole new set of experiences and view things that are often seen as way outside the box of normal thinking. Question everything, embrace new ways but most of all let love in and banish fear.

keeping it fresh

The trick to life is to live it well and to keep reinventing yourself as often as you can to keep it fresh. For who you are and what you choose to be is your choice alone. There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Hard times

Times are getting tougher
my monies running out
bills just keep coming in
I need some bailing out
But I know it is not coming
For I never had that luck
For all my hard earned grafting
No one else gives a fuck.

However as the money runs out
My love it does increase
For everyone around me
And others that I meet
My love extends to the environment
And everything on earth
I guess this is more a measure
Of my true and honest worth

So I may die a pauper
and my poems fade away
my thoughts on life
Will go with me along
following to my grave
but as long as I bring something
To even one persons life
then I take comfort in
The fact that it was worth
Bearing my soul
For all the world to see
Because love means so much more to me than all of the money.

Living the life

Sometimes we delude the world that we are truly living whilst all the time we are dying inside. If we can not live honestly then we are not living at all, we may as well be already dead. Learn to heal yourself. Learn to love yourself.

Clinging
Hanging on
Fearing
Refusing to let go
Desperate
Lacking self worth
Lacking self belief
Accepting abuse
Accepting ridicule
Giving yourself
Eviscerating your soul
Breaking your heart
Destroying your self respect
Destroying your self esteem
Losing dignity
Losing pride.
Let go I say
And set yourself free
There is nothing in attachment
Except the loss of self
Loss of life
Loss of being
Let them go
Focus on you
Focus on self.

Happiness

Happiness and contentment can not be found in others if it does not reside within you. Trying to find happiness through others is a temporary fix but you will slip back into the old habit of unhappiness. Unless you can be happy within yourself by letting go of baggage nothing will change. Don’t look for a temporary fixes look for a permanent one within.

Transform

And when we choose to step out of the shadows cast upon us by others, then we find liberation self love and freedom. That is when like a butterfly appearing from the chrysalis we spread our wings of beauty and fly.

Taken for granted

I knew a woman once
Let’s call her Cora
She had a beautiful aura
But her man
was so distracted
That he ignored her
So I restored her
And now he spends his life in pain
Over the love that he says he craved
But not enough it seems
To adore her
Each moment of the day
So she simply walked away
And never looked back again

This is a totally messed up democracy
