Glances

She didn’t mind the glances

From the men while passing,

Admiring her look

It was those who made advances,

Thought they could take a chance

Used all their manly charms,

Made detrimental comments to their friends

Before approaching,

Think that they are God’s gift

To much to resist

But she knows they are deluded

And that is the truth.

She finds a glance complimentary

But leering is not necessary,

If she wanted something to happen

Then she would let them know.

But it seems this is the way the world works,

Some men think that women are there

Just to plucked like apples from a tree,

Hard really to believe this mindset continues in this age,

All she could hope is one day it will change.
