OMG!! my hearts of fire
I have just been cheated on
what is that hurts the most
my ego or my heart
I guess I could say I lost her trust
by the role she just enacted
or may be it was my absence
or that I was just distracted,
and forgot to appreciate all her charms
and neglected her lost in myself
there’s a reason why anyone cheats
and I would like to know.
If I then decide I can’t forgive
I will have to let her go
but not sure I can do this because I love her so.
Anyway it was just sex and so i can forgive and forget
for if I don’t I know in my soul our relationship is wrecked.
A physical connection a physical need that occurred without love
we can put behind us now instead of throwing away all we have.
The ego is what takes the biggest hit
and suffers more than anything else
I will take a chance and fight for her
because love is not all about the self.
