Why do the most hate filled people
with the most vitreous venomous beliefs and words
always get the air time,
to me it seems absurd,
personality seems to count, even where there is not substance,
these kind of people spew out all their effluent,
in the media, on the TV screens,
they write books about their views, bordering the obscene,
why is it all the balanced people with balanced views,
never seem to get the headlines on the news.
Shock jock tactics and being extreme,
this is what gets you out there, gets you seen,
people with no boundaries, regurgitating lies,
don’t bother watching them it’s a waste of time,
xenophobic, sexist, racist hate filled views that should be reviled,
get heard more than those of the rank and file,
who speak and dream of hope, peace and unconditional love,
forced into the shadows while the twisted have their say.
Predatory oligarchs and twisted control freaks,
do not represent a normal society,
so why do we have to suffer this time and again,
we as human being should start using our strong point,
our brains
and drive these minority celebrity seeking haters,
back into to the darkness and off of our screens
and out the papers.
