I am no puppet

I am just me,

My views are my own

And you can’t buy me,

I’ve not been brainwashed

By parents or school,

So why would I let those who rule,

Control how I think and what I do

It’s my mantra, it’s not trying to be cool,

I question everything I see and read

I am never yo proud to say I get it wrong you see,

I’ve an open mind and open eyes

I will not let government and media bind,

Me up in fear and toxicity

I am worth more, you better believe me,

I am a free thinker and I mean all I say

I never try to offend unless you do to me in some way,

Open your eyes and live individual lives

While respecting and conversing with others all of the time,

Build unity, peace and love through positive words

And ensure that as a result nobody gets hurt,

Disagreement can be good for the soul

But you’re just a puppet when you join societies fold,

Be individual, unique but most of all be free

And live your life based on your own dreams,

And fulfill your own existential philosophies,

By becoming and being your own authority.
