Some are willing to let climate change happen

To maintain their way of comfy living,

Driving their four by fours to school and back

To drop off the kids it’s not sense they lack,

It’s no conscience for their inconsiderate actions

Tell this to them and see their vicious reactions,

Their lives are built on material things

And they won’t let little catastrophies like climate change impinge,

On trying to look well off and as they fit in

They attack activists for carrying out direct action with a meaning,

Highlighting the threat to our earth and humanity

But their words are never heard by those who feel it causes them inconvenience,

It makes you wonder if they lack the intelligence,

To see the danger of global warming

Ignoring all the signs and warnings,

But they’re too busy living their privileged lives

They object to activists putting up a fight,

To save the planet by trying to get the world to ditch oil

At the mention of this they recoil,

But on and off shore wind farms offer a better way

It will help towards stopping the earth’s decay,

So don’t be hard on those trying to act

They’re doing it for all our good and that’s a fact,

Unselfishly devoting their lives so future generations

Can live without the planetary degredation,

Back them and thank them for the work that they do

Don’t be a blind inconsiderate fool.
