In the ruins

Echoes bounce off the walls

Cold freezes in window panes,

Paint peels from the ceiling

As it let’s in the rain,

The floor is wet and puddled

I sit in a chair befuddled,

Lonely with tears streaming

From my eyes down my cheeks,

The loss of you and this our home

Where our love we had grown,

It is now a devastated ruin

A broken run down memory,

That resonates my pain and misery

Since you up and left me.
