Imperfectly me

People are quick to find the flaws in me

But in all truth and honesty,

I will tell you if you just ask me

I don’t pretend to be perfect you see,

But the chances are you’re not too

So why are you placing your judgement on me,

Refusing always to forgive or forget

Like others have done for you but that is in apparently a different context

That will never apply to me,

Because there’s so much joy and reverie

In constantly reminding me, of all the flaws that you see,

But that I will tell you if you just ask me

I don’t pretend to be perfect you see,

But the chances are you’re not too

So why are you placing your judgement on me.
