The highwayman

I was once a highwayman

And I’d ask you to stand and deliver,

Your love or your light

And you’d best give it up without a fight,

For I was searching for the truest love

And I was searching for the brightest light,

And when I had sampled all your wares

I’d take off and take flight,

And I’d ride off fast into the night,

With either a taste of your love

Or a sample of your precious heart light.
