We live within a cocoon

Of our own consciousness,

Seldom do we broaden it

So it’s restricted to see less,

Of our lives and the universe

And the true reality,

From birth we’re fitted with blinkers

And told what we should expect to see,

And anything beyond that view

Is utopian and an illusory dream,

But only the groundbreakers

Like Hawkins and Einstein ever break free,

And these open minded wide eyed types

Push the boundaries of what we believe,

We need to all be one like this

To create a more equal and fairer society,

We need to break out of the cocoon

And expand our conscious reality,

So that we expand all of our boundaries

Enabling us to become better human beings,

Living life in love, peace and harmony

Growing a green future with more sustainability,

Learning to be guardians of mother nature

Not resource exploited rooted in greed,

And we need to put an end to our warlike mentality,

We have the tools now we must grow the knowledge

Through planting new consciousness seeds,

That helps us realise that within the cocoon mind we’re not free,

And that when we break outside of it

Then they’ll be nothing that we can’t achieve.
