Exhausted

Don’t you get exhausted

Being a narcissist,

Focusing everything on you

You ain’t that special,

And that’s the truth

Don’t you get exhausted,

By seeking to control

Those who you say you love,

You’re like a vacuum in a black hole

Destroying those you try to love,

But you don’t know what love is

Ain’t that the truth.

  1. It’s often said that everything we project is a reflection of ourselves… anything we call others, that’s what we ourselves are… that the word narcissist is flung about by narcissists more than by anyone else… and we inflict labels upon people to build them up, or otherwise control them and destroy them… it does get tiring for sure, at times… this business of being human, doesn’t it? But it does bring much joy to create, and to appreciate the creations of others. And good intent is often there, invisible to some, whether or not it’s based in confusion or innocence/ignorance, and even if others assume otherwise; and even if they call us names and try to gaslight.
