Growth comes from transcending

Throwing off the shackles of anger and hate,

That’s why growth is not that easy

It’s so tough to change these ways,

When there are those around us

Who drives us to feel this about them,

It’s just so difficult when we are given a reason,

By acting in ways that taunts you so much

It’s easier to say you don’t give a fuck,

But they’re holding us back from transcending

So we don’t discover the growth within us,

And once again they get the better of us and that’s tough,

So tough to take because we realise to late

So we must find another kind of way,

To not let them do this to us again,

So that we can then go, then we can transcend

For that’s better for our bodies and minds in the end.
