Shouting and screaming into the wind

Too few care or are listening,

One day they will and it’ll be too late

They listened to their leaders,

And left it up to just fate

Never heard the wise words of the scientists,

Who spent their whole lives studying this

They listened to all the fucking wrong people,

Who didn’t know anything but pretended they did

Now the truth has become real we going to go extinct,

Do think your fucking kids will thank you for this,

We had the opportunities and ignored the alarms

But we decided to hand down to them the ultimate harm,

That they didn’t ask for and didn’t deserve

The previous generation were sadly the worst,

They refused to see the evidence or understand the truth

That they were living in a house with a fire in the roof,

But acted like everybody was making it up

Now the whole house is a blaze and they’ve faded away,

Leaving the kids to suffer and burn

It’s to fucking late now because their parents never learnt,

And there is no escape from their burning home

The kids are going to suffer, the kids are going to burn,

And it’s not something they chose but nobody listened to them,

They were told to be quiet by ignorant adults

Who was so wrong and so condescending to them.
