When you take too much on

And things go wrong,

Watch others pass the blame

It’s a part of the finger pointing game,

And some people have no shame,

It’s never their fault

It’s always on you

It does not matter how much you do,

They cover themselves

Leaving you often exposed

I am too trusting and honest I know,

I do what i do, trying my best

While others are conspiring which I detest

To ensure while shying away

That when it goes wrong once again,

that they’ve put more work in

To covering their own backsides,

Leaving me open, my be they’re wise,

And I am the fool for doing too much

Maybe I am the idiot for giving a fuck,

And trying to get not just what’s down to me covered

But jobs others didn’t do because they couldn’t be bothered,

Choosing to cherry pick more notable tasks

Is it any wonder I ask?

Maybe I need to get out of this fast,

And find something new and better to do

Where others are not looking to put the blame on you,

When they know you were doing as much as you could possibly do.
