The sorrow of life

A head full of pain

A hand full of pills

A determination to leave this world today.

A soul that can’t cope

Empty of hope

A life on the brink ready to blink out.

Who’s there to save them if no one around

Who’s there to help them when no one hears a sound.

We have become disconnected as a human race

Lost our unity in illusory time and space,

Barely talk to each other on tube train to work

Ignoring the faces of pain and of hurt.

Is this what it has come to a million lost souls

Floating discordant in an uncaring world

Where desperation  and Misery are themes of today,

When people treat it like contagion

And keep themselves away.

So people become isolated, a prisoner in their home,

Scared of a world that they should feel is home.

And flash back to the person with a head full of pain

A hand full of pills we see what they became,

Just another statistic of a world that doesn’t care

Lying dead on the floor with a wide open stare.

Their pain is now over

Their suffering has gone

Along with the love which is now forlorn.

  1. It doesn’t matter which pills or how many pills to take for the pain of the sollow..
I just wait for the time to not have to open my eyes anymore ..

    1. Don’t say that please. The loss of a soul as beautiful and inspiring as yours would saddened my heart and cast a shadow over life. Your life has been immensely difficult and rife with pain but hold on, for you are more precious and vital to this life than you know.

      1. Thank you.
As a part of my job ( as palliative care nurse) , I have seen many people who die and their family.. Always I feel what is the life for, and what is the death.
