I have known my demons,

I have felt their power,

felt them within me

and faced them down

but they never go

they hide in shadow,

watching, waiting,

for weakness to grow.

Then back they come,

like a haunting ghost,

to torment you at your most,

despairing time

when you are low

but to you I say to you behold,

you have the strength

within your self,

to vanquish demons

and to protect the self,

by looking deep within the soul,

you will find

from times of old,

the light and love

instilled by creation,

to shine a light and be amazing

and to drive the demons

back to darkness,

that place from whence they came,

the shadows,

where shadow demons dwell.
