We did not even know each others names,
and yet we ignited love and passions fiery flames
connected in mind, body and love,
explosion occurred like fireworks above
and yet ripples were sent through the universe,
that we hoped would not cause hurt,
for in the throes of deep desire,
we knew that as we burnt,
as if an inextinguishable fire,
that others we were committed too,
knew nothing of what we chose to do
and though wrong in so many ways
we could not help but light the flames.
As if the universe had conspired,
to bring us together and inspired,
a deep connection in that moment,
if we had not done this,
there would have been torment,
as to what just might have been,
now we know and we have gleaned,
that we were perfect together in harmony,
we both were but it could not be
and so we make the best of this moment now,
the best we can as situations allow,
hoping not to get caught,
that place in the shadows that we sought,
and now half clad in clothes we see,
the height of out intimacy
and for a moment the whole world has stopped,
as all our inhibitions dropped
and the power of love, lust and passion
raced through us like a carrion,
animal yet spiritual,
was this dishonest love,
that we knew that no one else could know of,
as great as it was,
as spiritually uplifting as it was,
nothing would change the simple fact,
that wrong it was, that sinful act.
