Language can be a tool or weapon
Language can help understand lessons
Language can be hard or soft
But language most of all
Can be used to decieve
Hide the truth and deflect the things
That people want to hide away
In order to ensure that we comply.
Teachers teach what they have been taught
Within education they got caught
Took everything in without questions
Now of their pupils they are requesting
The same unquestioning compliance.
Politicians use language to not only hide the the truth
But also to confuse
To cover lies and all their schemes
Of destroying others dreams.
They never answer questions straight
But promote xenophobic hate.
Like religion language is used to
Install fear in all we do
Force us down onto our knees
They want us to be appeased
To their games and their controlling ways.
Very few words in creative
And positive ways
So it’s up to us to blaze that trail.
