Within the green woods
Beneath the trees,
Brewing silently under
Mulching leaves,
Being fed by heat.
Below the soil
The heartbeat of
Mother Earth boils,
At the nature we have spoiled.
The verdancy of the canopy
Hiding, disguising many things
That in our arrogance
We often miss
That we can’t continue
On like this
Living reckless
Without a care
For environmental
Dangers lurk everywhere
Brought about by
Ignorant greed
To fill their pockets
Earth bleeds
But the warning signs
A looming overhead
And our apocalypse
Will be met
If we don’t learn to
Change our ways
Then Mother Earth
May make us pay.
