When will humanity fade away,

when the swarm of bees

are made extinct by pesticides,

way to bring about our final days

we worry so much about solar rays

and nuclear weapons and epidemics

worry about comets and so many endings

but we take for granted

the matrix of nature,

that balances all life in existence

and we will tip the balance

and bring about our end

humanity brought down

by a tiny insect.

So much for sentient superiority
