Tracing star patterns through the universe

travelling along there paths and there course

leads us to places rarely seen

and places that humans have never been

yet somehow we claim to know that nobody else

have traveled these paths or followed that course

it’s the arrogance and ignorance that stunts mans growth

a reluctance to open up a reluctance to grow

we are superior universal species at least that’s what we think

any other life form is surely extinct

in a universe so enormous it exceeds our capabilities

we still keep this ignorant, arrogant belief

we think and state we’re alone and there is no one else out there

they won’t open their minds they simply don’t dare

and as for imagination and any other belief

they are closed to understanding other life for may exist

or maybe it’s us they are keeping in the dark

maybe they have met aliens from afar

and chosen not to tell us for some reason or plan

maybe who knows or understands the nature of power

that they hide stuff from us

i know in the governments we cannot trust

but I think when you seek there are eyes among the stars

something is watching over us from afar

maybe galactic ancestors who share our DNA

maybe just species watching us play

the game of self destruction that ends in extinction

maybe that’s why they keep away because of our violent addiction

to war, to murder, to elimination of all else

all in the name of power and wealth

but look to the stars and look out to space

see they eyes and then see the face

for that is the creator of all that exists

shaking it’s it’s head as we make a mess of it.
