How do we act once we fallen in love
do we give our whole self or hold it all back
or do we strike a balance somewhere in between
or does overthinking this kill loves sweet dream.
Do we open our hearts up and prepare it to be broken
doe we keep it closed so the full extent of love is not woken
are there protocols for love or should we just let it flow
ditch all preconceptions and just let it all go
should we let our head rule the heart
or the heart rule the head
should we lead or wait to be led
is love really this complicated as some make it seem
or is this a case of overthinking
I tend to give it my all and not worry about a thing
take my chances and hope that it brings
happiness and contentment throughout my days
and if it all fall a part I shall rebuild it again.
