Loss leaves you lost,
leaves you in pain,
breaks your heart,
infects your brain,
makes you sad,
drives you insane.
Loss is hard to understand,
how to comes to terms
with what is gone,
what is lost,
never to be again,
in this lifetime,
for you to cherish,
for you to hold,
I wish I knew,
and could take control,
of how to manage
life and death,
to inspire a breath
within those who
I love have died,
instead I try to simply hide,
my grief, my pain
and my emotions,
for loss can leave us all
so broken.
