I could not be more sadder tonight,
Yet so many more wasted lives,
Perished in a way unnecessary
So many young and poor lost today,
It didn’t need to be this way
It does not have end in more graves,
It’s a crime.
The wealthy are fine, drinking their wine,
Poor are just trying to get by,
Facing austerity,
Living with cuts,
While the wealthy get much more than enough
But it doesn’t need to be this way,
Humanity should share everyday,
It’s a crime.
We live hand to mouth,
They are living it up,
We struggle to survive,
They do t give a fuck,
We desperately try to fight for more,
They are just interested in fighting wars,
I doesn’t have to go on this way,
We don’t have to be governed by them each day,
It’s a crime,
That’s why people die,
To help make the rich, richer
While the poor just die,
And they simply lie
And we’re left with tears in our eyes.
