Sea mist rolling in
Sheet like mist covering,
Shielding everything from view
Eerie kind of feeling,
Just the ring of the lighthouse bell
Chiming like a death knell,
But warning ships
Of the hazards that have befell,
Other ships that took no heed
Of the bell as it rang saying,
Please stay clear
Sharp rocks just waiting to rip hulls,
Then just end up as a feast
For all the greedy gulls,
Pecking on whats is left a float
All because no one took no notice
Of the lighthouse note,
Struck out by the warning bell
In this thick mist covered maritime hell.
