In a so called civilised age

Why do we put animals through pain,

Simply for our own gain

That benefit them in absolutely no way,

Animals don’t take drugs,

Animals don’t use cosmetics,

Animals don’t drink or smoke,

So why do we test these things on them,

Animals don’t wear fur,

Except their own, so why do we skin them.

In this civilised age we can find better ways,

Without inflicting pain

On other species everyday,

We have to make a stand for them

And put vivisection to and end,

And halt the fur trade

Which has no place in a civilised age.
