Where have the wise men gone

Where they set examples that were righteous

Spoke words that would truly inspire

Role models and intellectuals

Who would speak words irresistible 

You never questioned what they say

Because they spoke in fact and were not fake in anyway

Now we have dysfunctional leaders

And dysfunctional states

So many nation’s lead by despots today

Wearing well cut suits trying not to seem insane

But it is not working and we need to make them go away

What happened to the great thinkers

What happened to the wise men

Have they been buried under a ton of social media scrap

And will we ever see their like again.
