Face down in the dirt and grit

When I think I have had enough of this,

a life of woe, loss and hardship

I am sure this is not how life is supposed to be lived.

But I wont stay down on the ground

I get back up and hope to astound,

those who have chosen to write me off

and though I may not come out on top,

I will keep on battling through this life

fighting for what I believe to be right

and you may try to cast me out

but know this, with out any doubt,

I wont give in or give up,

no you wont win

I will always fight against,

the odds to succeed the best I can

of this, you would do well to understand.
