There’s a place in our heart

Where it’s dark,

There’s a place in our heart

That feels pain,

And for some they’re  like chasms

But for others they are small,

There are places in our hearts

We keep secret.

Filled with light,

There’s a place in our hearts

That knows love,

Where there’s hope for us all

And in the loneliness of our existence 

We can struggle, we can fall,

But in the comfort of community 

We can shine our light for all,

There are reasons for our darkness,

There are reasons for our pain,

As as community we have to see this

Have to feel this and try to heal this,

To get them through back to the love and light,

There’s places in our hearts 

We don’t know,

There’s places in our hearts 

That grows

Either warm or either cold.

So take care of your heart and share

All of these places with those who You love,

Never try to hide them away

For the light and the love

Are life’s warmest place,

So find that place in your heart,

That gives light,

Find that place in your heart

That feels love.
