This life of mind

Anarchy, Bakunin

Mayakovski, and laughs,

This has been my life

At present and from past,

Read about books on Sabatè

And the Spanish Civil War,

Revolutionary thinking

Existential dreams,

Listen to the music

Of anarcho-anarchists

I liked the tunes

But more important were the lyrics.

I lived my life believing

In animal rights

Environmental activism

And fighting the political right

This is how I have lived

And spe tmy time

Thinking out the box

And expanding my mind

Studying Buddhism

And spiritual reason and rhyme

Eeking out a living in such hard times

Questioning authority and the media lies

This how I choose to live

And define my life.

  1. Interestng, but Mayakovski parted ways with Bakunin, philosophically. Russian revolutionary anarchy, unfortunately, turned into terrorism of the worst degree.

    1. Agreed but still both worth a read.

      1. Oh, definitely! My son wrote his dissertation on Mayakovski, years ago. I guess I did a decent job reading Russian poetry with him when he was little!
