Golden days diminish

I rember my childhood those golden days

I remember it was glorious

I never thought it would change

We never had any money

But there was a whole lot of love

That was shown by my parents

Who are no longer with us

And with them gone and now being older

The warmth of childhood has grown colder

And the golden days are now tarnished

With the grime of time

And the fun and the smiles

Are now diminished for a while

Hopefully to return before my light goes out.
