We shared special moments
At the start but then for reasons unknown we drifted apart
Lost connection and lost touch
Broken heart and broken love
Without even realising it occurred
Somehow though that seems quite absurd
But life and other distractions got In they way
And we simply faded in to grey
Lost ourselves and lost our light
Went on different flights
To different destinations
In search of something new
And while apart I guess we both grew
Into different people with different influences
So like strangers when we met again
Nothing of who we were was left.
So we both walked our different ways
With broken hearts and broken love.
