Her heart built a wall like a fortress
so she would not get hurt and feel the distress
of a broken heart and the searing pain
that comes with being struck down time and again
but building walls and keep love out
will no help the right one get access in
they have to breakdown these walls
and if they choose not to bother at all
it doesn’t mean they are not the right ones
it just means they see it as too much
and may have been hurt the same
but you still got to give love a chance and let it in.
