Just passing time

Prism coloured lights flickering by

Giving off a hypnotic vibe

Incandescent fireflies not interested by time

We worry about how fast life passes

But that’s what life does it advances

Time is a man created thing

Effecting no other species

We use time to put ourselves under pressure

Truth is life starts when we’re born

Reality is it will end when we are dead

So why worry about how much time goes by in between.

Watch the clock for the day to end

Set deadlines we must not fail to meet

What happens when this occurs

Nothing really its just absurd.

Other people use time to pressure you and me

The only important moment is the one you’re living presently

Live each moment as if it’s your last

You never know when it will end

And only when you notice you feel life passes fast

Its our perpetual state of being

Fast food

Fast checkout

Fast lane

What you racing to?

Do you win something at the end of it?

Bide your time

Time to relax

Why so much focus on how time should dictate us

I wish I could just drop out and switch off

I wish I could isolate myself

And find some solitude

With no measure of time

A place where there aren’t any clocks

Tick tock

Tick tock.
