We choked our land and sea with plastic crap

We deny climate warming is a fact

We bleach and destroy the coral reefs

Cut down trees we need to hp us breathe

Do we do this in all sanity

Is it a careful thought out policy

Polluting the air with chemicals trails and pesticides

Did we sit down and decide

That this would be good for humanity

Like over population where we spread like a disease

Can some please explain to me

How this is not actually all down to purely greed

Exploiting and raping everything

In the name of so called progress and technology

When destroying our planet will take us back to the dark ages

And is bad for all humanity

Why is it we choose not to believe

Those who study these kind of things

We disbelieve the scientists

And put our faith in climate change sceptics

Who barely know what the subject matter is

They think it’s just about the weather

Talk as they are really clever

But we know they they’re just protecting wealth

And they have no care for our health

We cannot stop or change the Arctic melt

But we can deal with everything else

And plan for a future of rising seas

That won’t be catastrophic to all we see

Get population under control

And focus on going green and moving away dirty fuels and coal

Taking actions good for the soul

We just can’t keep going with the flow

Something really needs to change

I don’t want to spread doom and gloom each day

We have the ability, to turn things round quickly

And we can create a better brighter future

But change has to start with you and me

And piling on the pressure to those who lead

To move things along expediently

For the benefit of you and me and everything we see.
