My heart I feel it pound
I feel it expanding
I feel it open up as if somebody turned a key
I feel it send out the blood
That flows always through me
Like a river at times
Or just a calm stream
All this and more I feel
My heart has been through so much
And in everything that I do
It’s my heart in which I place my trust
And it’s open for all to walk in
In there is where I keep my love
And all I ask is that you don’t break it
Or in anyway cause damage for in the end
It’s endured so much.
