Her beauty reflected back at me

But it wasn’t what I saw externally

It was the beauty of what was within,

Inside she was magnificent

She took care to make up the outside

But more in working on the inside

She didn’t want to hide

Behind false looks of foundation

She didn’t want to be defined

As a beautiful structure that was empty in soul, heart and mind,

She wanted to be beautiful all the way through

And I was impressed because in all truth

She was what she strive to be

Beauty personified

What you saw on the outside

Was the same on the inside

She was no fake

She was no lie

She was beauty

Totally personified.
