Warming up decade on decade

Boiling over and boiling up

Burning fires, melting world

Dried up creeks and river beds

Then the extremes of the polar vortex

Floods and rising seas

From Arctic ice caps melting

All these changes happening too fast

Climate change leaves me aghast

Cycles that should often last

Longer than they do right now

Climate out of control

Overheating planet sees nature respond

We will soon be sent back packing

To the primordial pond

From whence we originally evolved from

Extinction is coming our times nearly done

Unless we change and respond

By healing our earth and nurturing it

Slow down the rate of our changing climate.
