Exiting love

You saw the door and used

We had love but we abused it

We took the love for granted

Now the last dance we are dancing

The swansong and the memories

Are all now tinged with tears

As we brought about through complacency

Both of our greatest fears

And as you walk away the pain sets in

We both feel the hurt inside

The feeling of so much lost love

And too much trying to save pride

We maybe could have healed the rift

But we were just to stubborn to act

And we are now victims of the love game

Now there’s no going back.
