Blue planet

A gaseous quasar stretched across the star filled sky

And beneath whales swim in the deep blue sea

And polar bears trudge across icey wastes

And steam rises out of rainforests in waves

And deserts glow golden in a sun baked state

As birds like cormorants fly low over glistening blue lakes

As eagles soar above mountain peaks on glorious golden wings

And in the rainforest yoj can hear the variety of creatures sing

And as the clouds start rolling in, suggesting there’s a storm comming

But how can the beautiful planet feel threatened

Amidst all the amazing species diversity

That to me offer such incredible wonder

Like shoals and schools of fish on mass swimming

Here and there darting beneath a clear blue ocean

Yet still the storm is coming l, yet it can still be stopped

Man can halt its terrible ways that exact an awful cost

This blue planet, and green verdant lands

Can once again be nurtured by man

Rather than exploited and raped of its resources

And the colours of the rainbow that nature provides

Can serve to stun us with its radient glows

Putting on everyday is colourful show

Does anybody want this miraculous ecology to disappear and go

Do you want these wonders to be unknown

By our future generations who will no thank us at all

For destroying such beauty of which they are told

From documentaries of old and books that tell tales so bold

If a wonderous planet that was once blue, green and gold

But is now just concrete where nature was sold

And where masses of species are just tales of yore

Made extinct by mankind’s ignorant blindness that demanded more

From less and less until there was nothing left.
