Why the obsession with self diminishment

Why do we view ourselves as lesser beings

We created a divide without self believing

We set up God’s that are holy and divine

That take the plaudits for all that is good

Any wonderous feats or miracles

Even as writers we ascribe to the belief

That mist of what we do is religiously inspired

It seems we are unable to accept the credit

Or think for a moment that which we achieved

Maybe as a result of hard work, self trust and self belief

We just diminish ourselves constantly

Simply because we choose to believe

The God is behind inspiring and aiding us to achieve

And without God’s presence we could do nothing

Now is that mot what we would call diminishing

Ourselves as sentient, intelligent human beings.
