The Kalhari Desert full of natures wonders

Full of natures mysteries

With species in their hundereds

All vying in the arid heat

And scintillating temperatures

Yet somehow is suspends life

Where humankind would struggle

On the saltpans mirages are common

With the forty degrees heat haze

Yet like a miracle from underground

Water arises for all the species in need

Where prey and predators may meet

So it could be more than water here

For some it may be a chance to eat

But it’s like a meeting place for all

And in this place I am in awe

As black rhino meet in groups under the stars at night

And share affection and in moonlight

They socialise and meet fiends

In this place its the perfect way for the day to end.
