Oceanic wonderment

Wonders are what we all seek

There are numerous under the sea,

Yet we look to the stars

Taking for granted what is under our noses,

Lush tropical waterfalls falling crystal like

And sparkling beautiful lagoons,

The variety of wonderous species

Should take our breath away in seas clear and blue,

So what is with man that it can’t see how amazing this is

Why is it we search for a planet B so that we can leave this,

Are you mad, are you insane do you not use your brain

If we nurtured rather than destroyed

We could be a part of it, rather than apart from it

So next time you look to the stars

Remember just where it is you are

On a paradise planet, that spawned from the Garden of Eden

So let’s learn to protect it

Let’s learn to appreciate what we have got

There’s wonderment in the oceans

Which are not out of reach like the stars

Let’s heal our planet and fix it

Let’s make a start by helping our seas by removing the plastic

It’s a start.
