Why did I follow, I was a sheep
Walking through life, I were asleep
Not seeing the truth of life beneath
The illusory things that make up our beliefs
From inception to grave we’re taught just what to think
Throughout our lives we never question anything
And when we begin to awaken and finally see
All of life in conscious reality we start to grieve
For all the time we wasted but trust me
There’s no point worrying what’s gone before I posit
For it is gone and we must ensure the futures positive
Enrich it full of love and be compassionate
Find your inner peace but remain passionate
About seeing what’s truly real in this fake place
And transcend to an enlightemed state
Why did I not see this from the start
Live your life with an open mind, eyes and a big heart.
